Nassau!

After the trek to Miami to catch my rickety little propeller plane i'm finally in the BAHAMAS!! Its absolutely gorgeous, I've been running around in the sunshine for about two days now! Its weird thinking that two days ago when I got off the plane I was on an island with not one familiar face but within two short days I already feel 100% comfortable with my new friends! I was the first out of my roomies to arrive so I got myself a taxi and was headed to the hotel where i met 3 guys from my voyage. We went out to explore and got a bit to eat.The whole island seems to be under construction without the repairs... if that makes any sense. All the locals are nice and everyone keeps telliing us that all of us Semester at sea kids are taking over the island! Finally the first of my 3 roomies arrived, his name is gabriel and he is from Brazil [ and no mom he hasnt been creeping on me ;) but he did sing and play the guitar for me  ]. The hotel is filled with SASers so we all sat on the rooftop lounge and chit chatted and drank some local beer before going out to a bar called senior frogs... this is where things got crazy my new friend from hong kong had never had tequila shots, so naturally I had to corrupt him! Lets just say he enjoyed being wild with tequila! Today a group of us hopped on the bus to see where we would end up and it took us west on bay street so we eventually got off and wondered towards the ocean and ended up at cable beach! I believe tonight will probably have the same game plan for going out, this bar is really really touristy but it seems to be where all the SASers from all over the island meet up! Missin you guys already, ciao!
